Hi… you do not know me, nor do I you. However, as a supporter of #PSPfit I am encouraged to reach out to you so share what #PSPfit truly is. #PSPfit is a social media healthy curves initiative that was started by CeCe Olisa of you guessed, The Plus Size Princess blog (http://www.plussizeprincess.com/). CeCe started PSPfit when she decided to openly share her own personal struggles in weight loss on her blog. What started as a simple IG share, turned into 100s of everyday women following her and sharing their journeys as well. CeCe openly shared her diagnosis of PCOS, how she tried every diet with no success and how nothing worked until she found a great balance of clean eating and high cardio. In sharing her journey, she reached out to a certified nutritionist and professional trainer. This wasn’t because she thought it would throw her into instant “blogger fame” but so that she could have like-minded women whom could relate to her.
The bloggers… while unbeknownst to some - some bloggers are actually friends. We share more than photo ops at brand sponsored events. We share secrets, attend personal events, we chat regularly and we support each other in business - even businesses outside of blogging. So when CeCe decided she wanted to take #PSPfit to a higher level, to reach plus-size women globally we banded together and WE supported her. We did not get paid to do it. We did not gain ANYTHING from it. Our posts are not sponsored. They are straight from the heart with no gain.
And now on to Lane Bryant…. did you know that Lane Bryant has used their leverage and business dollars to support events through-out the plus size community for years? Why is such a travesty for them to support a healthy curves initiative, but there is no controversy when they support breastcancer research? They are both for the benefit of a healthier lifestyle, correct? In fact, I bet you also did not know that Lane Bryant did not become a part of the #PSPfit family until our second cycle. And that it is because of Lane Bryant, that CeCe was able to offer over $1800 in services for only $99 per member.
So you ask, what do I think of #PSPfit - honestly I think it is awesome. When I work out with my fellow #PSPfit-ters - I can do so without someone looking at me wondering if I can really do a push up. When I am feeling defeated, I have a group of women who cheer me on and help me hang onto a plank for another 10 seconds. When I decide to eat a cookie, I have a great nutritionist who is giving me an alternative. When I am getting discouraged by my leg junk or because the scale isn’t moving fast enough, I have a heartthrob of a trainer who tells , stop looking at the numbers. Even after a #PSPfit cycle ends, I have a new set of friends that will continue to cheer me on, because ultimately we are all after the same thing - a happy and healthier version of ourselves. #PSPfit is not about getting to a size ten, it encourages you to just be a great version of you - whatever, that may be.
P.S. Only 10% of the members of #PSPfit are bloggers. *wink*
P.S.S. There is a alot of info on #PSPfit on Cece’s blog and the official #PSPfit website (www.pspfit.com) oh and just in case you need it here’s a google search link (http://curvyspot.us/19ZR03Twww.pspfit.com) oh and just in case you need it here’s a google search link (http://curvyspot.us/19ZR03T)… enjoy!!!
I actually have like a revulsion about it and I’m not sure 100% why
#1 - started popping up a few months ago like an organic/viral thing amongst bloggers but I immediately felt like it was a new marketing campaign by a plus size company (I think it’s lane bryant) - I didn’t look on individual…
